Summary
The PDF sprite must have at least one pixel showing on screen in order for it to print.
Example
Either set the size of the PDF sprite to 1X1 pixel, or place the PDF document outside the boundaries of the presentation window, but make sure there is still at least 1 pixel of the sprite showing on screen. Usually, when placed in a corner, it makes the document invisible to the user, but allows Reader or Acrobat to refresh the document as if it was on screen. You will then be able to print the document.
