 Making hyperlinks work with PDFs generated from FrameMaker

Product:Platform:Area:Versions:
Impressario for DirectorAllHyperlinkingv2.x

Summary

Framemaker generates a number for cross-references and paragraphs.

When creating PDFs, the cross-reference number seems to get changed or garbled and the hyperlinks no longer work.

By naming the link, you can avoid this problem.

Solution

When printing to a PDF follow these steps:

1. Click the PDF Setup button to open the PDF Setup dialog box;
2. Select the Links tab;
3. Check box labeled "Create Named Destination for All Paragraphs".

Hyperlinks in the resulting PDF should now work as expected.
