Removing Impressario's "Trial Version" splash screen
Impressario for AuthorwareAllLicense KeyAll

When you run a piece in authoring mode or a packaged piece that uses the trial version of Impressario, a "Trial Version" splash screen appears to alert end-users that the Xtra has not been licensed for distribution. Users must click this screen to proceed.

Once you purchase a license from Integration New Media, you will receive an e-mail containing a full license key, which you must enter from within Authorware. Purchasing a license and entering your license key in Authorware is the only way to remove the splash screen.

To enter your full license key, and remove the "Trial" splash screen, first create an Impressario sprite. Then follow these steps:

  1. Double-click the Impressario icon, or the sprite on the presentation window.

  2. Click Options... to open the Impressario Sprite Options dialog box.

  3. Click Enter Key, in the bottom right corner of the dialog box..

  4. Enter the name of the license owner, the name of the company and the license key that was e-mailed to you upon purchase of the license. To avoid errors in typing, we recommend you copy/paste this number to this window directly from the e-mail.

This procedure only has to be done once and you will be able to create packaged pieces, from the licensed workstation, that are legal for distribution.
