1. Does my content have to be in PDF format?

Answer: The current version of Reach Docs delivers PDF documents over the web. PDF is the most widely used document publishing format because it is completely cross-platform and device-independent. Almost any source material can be easily published to PDF while preserving the fonts and layout of the original.

2. Does Reach docs convert my PDFs to Flash?

Answer: No. With Reach Docs, your PDF documents remain intact; the content of each page is extracted and streamed to the Reach Docs on demand. Therefore your content is immediately available and ready to be viewed by end-users as soon as you upload it into the INM Reach Control Center.


3. How do I use Reach Docs?

Answer: Reach Docs provides end users with an intuitive and easy way to view documents.

For Publishers: Content publishers simply login to the Reach Docs Control Center to upload their documents. Once the file is uploaded, they easily post the document's unique URL on a web page or send it by email. Users follow the URL and view the document in their browser through the Reach Docs .

For End Users: With Reach Docs, the document appears within the browser and is displayed through the Reach Docs . Navigating through the document is natural and intuitive with the help of a discreet floating toolbar. In the 2-page view, the user can flip through the document like a book by simply clicking on the corner of the page, pages will turn with a natural page-flipping effect. In the 1-page view, users can scroll up and down using their keyboard arrows, the mousewheel or even by dragging the document up or down. An integrated search feature allows the user to search the keywords throughout the document. The toolbar also contains buttons to zoom in + out and to print.


4. How do I change the level of zoom when viewing documents?

Answer: Reach Docs has three level of zoom to support the three most common document interactions: browsing, reading and reviewing detailed information.
The zoom level can be changed by double-clicking the page or using the plus(+) and minus(-) toolbar buttons.


5. How do I enable hyperlinking?

Answer: Active hyperlinks within an uploaded PDF will now be clickable in Reach Docs and a link halo effect will be added to show readers that the link is active. Internal hyperlinks can be used to link between pages of a document, and external links can trigger the launch of a new browser window or tab.
Reach Docs automatically recognizes hyperlinks that have an associated link object assigned to them. This can be created in the source file (i.e. InDesign, QuarkXpress or Microsoft Word) or can be added once the PDF has been created using Adobe Acrobat Professional. Each assigned hyperlink should begin with the prefix "http://".


6. Does Reach Docs support protected documents?

Answer: Yes. Protected and non-protected documents can be uploaded from the Control Center and viewed in the Reach Docs .


7. How do I change my acount password?

Answer:  You can now manage your own account and modify your password when and how often you wish. In the Control Center, simply click on the "My Settings" tab on the left and complete the required fields.


8. How do I request a trial Account for Reach Docs?

Reach Docs is a web-based application. There is nothing to install or download. Simply complete a short registration form, receive your login details by email, and you're ready to go. 


9. Can INM Reach be customized with my client/company's look and feel?

10. Can I use Reach Docs to manage all my clients’ documents under one account?

Yes, you can open one account and manage multiple documents from it. However, you would need to purchase a plan with enough page views to support multiple clients' needs. You will also be able to view all the documents' usage reports through the same console, allowing you to compare statistics.

If you are interested in this model, we suggest creating a custom account specifically for this purpose with additionnal features to choose from such as:

  • Per client billing
  • A master admin panel to manage all client documents at once
  • Per client stats
  • The Reach Docs customized to the branding of your clients' organization.
